Zedd, an artist, invests in BetterBrand.

BetterBrand, a manufacturer of high-protein, low-carb bagels and buns, has added Anton Zaslavski, a.k.a. Zedd, to its roster of well-known supporters. Following the company’s recent $6 million Series A capital round, the investment was made.

Called “carbs that go beyond meat,” The Better Bagel, which has the net carbohydrate equivalent of two banana slices, the protein content of four eggs, and the sugar content of one celery stalk, was created by BetterBrand using technology. The Better Bun, which has the net carbohydrate equal of two apple slices, and the Better Hawaiian Roll, which has 90% fewer carbohydrates and 250% more protein than a typical sweet Hawaiian roll, are recent additions to the menu.

Mr. Zaslavski has joined a group of investors that includes actors Patrick Schwarzenegger and Emmy Rossum, as well as Sean Thomas, the grandson of Wendy’s founder Dave Thomas.

My enthusiasm for health and wellbeing is always growing, and it was during that journey that I learned about The Better Bagel, Mr. Zaslavski stated. “It’s a product I firmly believe in and has revolutionized my high-protein, low-calorie diet. I’m ecstatic to be working with BetterBrand on an official basis to highlight their cutting-edge yet uncompromising products.

BetterBrand has announced that it will release The Limited Edition Zedd x The Jalapeño Chedder Better Bagel, which combines vegan cheddar shreds and jalapeños, in addition to the investment.
