Vice president of General Mills to oversee tortilla manufacturer

Former General Mills, Inc. vice president of marketing Camille Gibson is now the CEO of The Real Coconut Products Co., a company that produces plant-focused, dairy-free, gluten-free, and grain-free tortilla and chip products.

Ms. Gibson worked for General Mills, Inc. for thirty-two years, most recently as vice president of marketing for Cascadian Farms, Wheaties, and Cheerios, before coming to The Real Coconut Products Co. She has held the positions of business unit director and vice president of marketing for Fiber One and Nature Valley bars. She also held positions with Yoplait, Green Giant, and Betty Crocker as vice president and director of business units. 2015 saw her leave the company.

Ms. Gibson has been honored for her leadership throughout her career. She was listed on Fast Company’s “100 Most Creative People in Business” list and won Adweek’s “Brand Genius” award.

Ohio State University awarded her a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a master’s degree in business administration. She was also the first woman chosen to join Fisher College of Business’ Distinguished Alumnae list.

“Spotting the white space in the market with the potential for significant scale has been the foundation of my entire career,” Ms. Gibson stated. “Real Coconut’s CPG products that are grain-, gluten-, and dairy-free offer an unparalleled opportunity in terms of innovation, depth, and category expansion.” I’m excited to be a part of this innovative and dynamic team.
