To construct a new manufacturing facility, Agri Beef

BOISE, IDAHO — On July 31, representatives of Agri Beef Co. verified their intentions to construct a new processing facility for beef as a joint venture with cattle farmers in the Jerome, Idaho, area. The True West Beef cooperation is founded on a method that addresses the production disruptions that many companies faced following the coronavirus (COVID-19) epidemic and offers a beef-processing solution.

As per Agri Beef, “True West Beef is intended to serve as a substitute model in the beef processing sector, where big establishments have taken over the market.” Its structure will be unique, its scale will be more adaptable, and livestock producers will have direct equity ownership.”

Earlier this year, representatives of the city of Jerome’s economic development team saw the proposal. In Toppenish, Washington, approximately 450 miles northwest of Jerome, Agri Beef is the owner and operator of the Washington Beef facility. Ground beef manufacturing was added to Agri Beef’s 2013 plant expansion, which allowed it to make beef products under the Snake River Farms, Double R Ranch, and St. Helens brands. The project to build the True West Beef facility had no timeframe specified.

The executive vice president of business development of Agri Beef, Wade Small, stated, “We evaluated many sites for this venture.” “With an educated and motivated workforce, access to plentiful agricultural resources, and a vibrant community with a can-do spirit, Jerome and Idaho checked the box for everything we were looking for.”

According to Jay Theiler, the chief executive officer of method and public relations, Agri Beef and its partners have a credibility for excellence in the industry and the communities they work in because of the high-quality, sustainable beef that is produced at the new plant, which will have a capacity of about 500 head per day and is projected to create about 370 new jobs.

“True West Beef is going to be an environmentally conscious, community-engaged neighbour. Mr. Theiler stated, “We want Jerome to be proud.”

“The COVID-19 pandemic caused capacity constraints in meat packing plants, which posed challenges for the industry,” stated Governor Brad Little of Idaho. Idaho is happy to see additional meat processors of various sizes in the United States to gladly accept increased, top-notch computing power in order to fulfil this vital infrastructural requirement. This facility enhances the quality of our premium Idaho beef and helps sustain family farms, ranches, and dairies.”
