LOS ANGELES: After introducing cauliflower-coated chicken to the poultry market two years ago, Caulipower is back at it with a new veggie. The new Sweet & Savoury Chicken Tenders from the company have a sweet potato crust.

These baked, gluten-free, frozen chicken tenders are created with premium Naked Truth chicken, which is raised without the use of cages or antibiotics. Sweet potato, rice flour, onion, rosemary, and sage are all used to coat the chicken.

Caulipower Sweet & Savoury Chicken Tenders have 120 calories, 13 grammes of protein, 1.5 grammes of fat, and 1 gramme of sugar per two-piece meal. According to Caulipower, that is 39% fewer calories and 85% less fat than regular chicken tenders.

“We’re constantly searching for methods to’vegolutionize’ American comfort food favourites, improving their flavour and nutritional value,” stated Gail Becker, the company’s founder and CEO. “We’ve already changed chicken tenders, and we’re doing it again with sweet potatoes, a completely different vegetable. We’ve managed to produce the healthiest chicken tenders available, in addition to having amazing flavour.

The retail price of a 14-oz bag of Caulipower Sweet & Savoury Chicken Tenders is $9.99. The tenders will be arriving and are currently available at Fresh Thyme during the first few days of August at Mariano’s, Dillons, King Soopers, Fry’s, Fred Meyer, Ralphs, Smith’s, and Kroger venues. By year’s end, 2021, Caulipower intends to expand the chicken’s retail reach.
