Taking the ice cream category with kindness

NEW YORK: Kind Healthy Snacks is introducing new plant-based Kind Frozen Pints to the ice cream section.

The base of the non-dairy frozen desserts is made of pear juice, tapioca starch and/or syrup, coconut oil, sea salt, sugar, water, gum acacia, sea salt, soy lecithin, tara gum, guar gum, and carob bean gum. Each serving of these desserts has 4 to 6 grams of protein. Dark chocolate almond sea salt, dark chocolate peanut butter, cherry cashew, coffee hazelnut, caramel almond sea salt, strawberry, and pistachio are the seven flavors available for the sweets.

Daniel Lubetzky, the founder of Kind, stated, “We’re always striving to challenge conventional wisdom and eliminate false compromises.” We made an effort to reconsider our preferences for frozen treats. We found that what was lacking was a product that was both delightful to eat and provided high-quality, plant-based components that we could feel comfortable putting into our bodies.

Almonds, chocolate, chicory root fiber, and cocoa butter are the ingredients of the dark chocolate almond sea salt flavor. Each serving of the dessert has 290 calories, 19 grams of sugar, and 6 grams of protein.

The ingredients of the dark chocolate peanut butter pint include roasted peanuts, chocolate, cocoa butter, chicory root fiber, and peanut oil. 280 calories, 19 grams of sugar, and 6 grams of protein are found in each 2/3-cup portion.

Almonds, cashews, cherries, chocolate, pectin, citric acid, sunflower lecithin, and fruit and vegetable juice are added to the cherry cashew frozen dessert to give it color. 21 grams of sugar, 5 grams of protein, and 270 calories are found in each 2/3-cup portion.

Almonds, hazelnuts, coffee, cocoa powder, chocolate, pectin, and sunflower lecithin are the ingredients of the coffee-hazelnut variant. Each 2/3-cup serving of the treat has 290 calories, 19 grams of sugar, and 5 grams of sugar.

Almonds, sunflower lecithin, maize starch, molasses, chocolate, and pectin are the ingredients of the caramel almond sea salt type. 290 calories, 19 grams of sugar, and 6 grams of protein are found in each 2/3-cup portion.

Almonds, strawberries, rice flour, citric acid, and beet juice are used to make the strawberry flavor. 240 calories, 22 grams of sugar, and 4 grams of protein are found in each 2/3-cup portion.

Almonds, pistachios, spirulina extract, and turmeric are used to color the pistachio pint. There are 270 calories, 18 grams of sugar, and 6 grams of protein in each 2/3-sup portion.

“We’re continuing to prioritize innovation that cuts across categories and dayparts, even though we’re best known for our nutrition bars, which are typically consumed on the go,” Mr. Lubetzky stated. “We will continue to create new products in the same way that we have always created them—with an eye toward improving people’s overall experience and upholding our Kind Promise—as we work to close the taste gap in health-focused aisles and the health gap in taste-focused aisles.”Kind Frozen Pints can now be found in stores all around the country.

With its Kind Frozen Treat Bars, the brand recently entered the frozen treat market; this innovation expands on that launch. One of Kind’s six new product categories in the last 12 months is frozen treats. The other five are chilled, ready-to-eat cereal, heated cereal, frozen breakfast mixes, and snack mixes.
