The snack aisle is being spiced up with spicy chips, which include vegetable tortilla chips, cauliflower chips, and regular potato chips.
Professional basketball player Jayson Tatum and PepsiCo, Inc.’s Frito-Lay North America division have teamed up to launch a new Ruffles potato chip flavor. Frito-Lay’s Flamin’ Hot kick is combined with tangy barbecue flavor in Ruffles Flamin’ Hot BBQ. Mr. Tatum’s hometown of St. Louis, which is renowned for its hot barbecue, served as the inspiration for the flavor. According to the company, the new chips are the first Frito-Lay snack to combine barbecue and Flamin’ Hot flavors.
Bold and spicy barbecue flavors were a mainstay of my childhood in St. Louis, so adding that heat to my favorite snack is amazing to see — and taste,” Mr. Tatum remarked.
