Plantae by Layn line is expanded by Layn Natural Ingredients.
The Plantae by Layn brand, which provides clean label botanical extract components to the flavour and fragrance sectors as well as food and beverage makers, has been expanded by Layn Natural components.
Three categories of botanical extract ingredients are available in the company’s linePlantae Sense is a flavour enhancer and masker that improves taste for reducing sugar and sodium; Plantae Preservation is an antioxidant extract ingredient that extends shelf life, preserves taste and colour, and offers anti-microbial support; and Plantae Health is a functional botanical ingredient for health and wellness.
According to Collette Kakuk, vice president of worldwide marketing at Layn Natural Ingredients, “consumers are reading product labels increasingly and demanding more clean label ingredients.” In response to this need, we have developed novel natural antimicrobial support solutions that successfully take the place of synthetic alternatives for preservation and shelf life extension.

Additionally, consumers are requesting that items contain less sugar and sodium, which has a big impact on the flavour of the goods. It makes sense for us to innovate and broaden our offering to include more plant-based, scientifically supported solutions for taste, including enhancers and maskers, as well as preservation and shelf life. This will enable us to offer our valued food and beverage manufacturers more assistance as they strive to meet consumer demands in an efficient and open manner.
