PepsiCo launches a new beverage brand aimed toward youth.
With the launch of Frutly hydrating juice waters, PepsiCo, Inc. is focused on the in-between stage – teens — in a saturated beverage market full of drinks for adults and children.
As stated by Samantha Siegal, senior director of ambient juice marketing at PepsiCo, “the launch of Frutly is the result of identifying a white space in the ambient juice aisle.” “We discovered that teens who have outgrown juice boxes and pouches from their childhood and are now looking for products that better fit their more mature lifestyle are not being catered to in the current category.”
Frutly beverages are made without added sugar or artificial sweeteners and are made with fruit juice, water, and the electrolytes magnesium and potassium for taste. They are also designed with vitamins C and E. Fruit punch, apple grape, and strawberry kiwi tastes are available for the drinks. Black carrot juice is added to the fruit punch and strawberry kiwi flavors, which are prepared from grape, apple, and strawberry juice. There are 60 calories and 15 grams of sugar in every 12-oz bottle.
According to recent data, parents are searching for healthier beverage options for their kids. In fact, 56% of those quitting the category attribute their decision to their distaste for artificial sweeteners, sugar, and calories. Furthermore, very few, if any, new goods on the market meet the demands of both parents and teenagers. Frutly is the solution to this problem; it satisfies teens’ desire for a delectable, refreshing taste while also meeting parents’ demands for hydration without artificial sweeteners or additional sugar.According to Ms. Siegal, PepsiCo prioritized hydration while formulating Frutly, particularly during the pandemic.

“Over half of all children and adolescents in the US do not get enough hydration, according to research,” she stated. As we all continue to work and learn from home, it’s important to have hydrating drinks that are also shelf-stable. Frutly is well-positioned to serve as a tasty and practical juice water choice that both parents and teenagers can feel good about.
Juice waters that are hydrating and fruity may be purchased all across the country for a suggested retail price of $1.29 for a 12-ounce bottle and $3.98 to $4.59 for a four-pack.
