Palmby becomes the chief executive officer of Seneca.
MARION, New York – At Seneca Foods Corp., Paul L. Palmby has been appointed president and CEO. With effect from September 30, he will take over for Kraig H. Kayser. Seneca anticipates having Mr. Kayser on board until October 31.
Having joined Seneca Foods in 2006, Mr. Palmby currently serves as executive vice president and corporate officer. Before then, he held the positions of vice president of operations from 1999 to 2004 and head of the company’s vegetable division until 2005. March 1987 saw the arrival of Mr. Palmby at the business.
“Throughout the decades that we worked together at Seneca Foods, I had the good fortune to work under Kraig’s leadership,” Mr. Palmby stated. “I value Kraig and the board’s trust and encouragement. Seneca Foods has made a name for itself in the packaged food industry, and as long as it stays true to the core values that have defined its success, it will prosper.
After 27 years as president and CEO of Seneca, Mr Kayser will retire. Before that, from 1991 to 1993, he served as chief financial officer. Furthermore, he began his career as a filmmaker in 1985.
