Kraft Heinz appoints three to the US executive team

Chicago Cory Onell has been named president of US sales, Sanjiv Gajiwala as US chief growth officer, and Stephanie Peterson as head of US communications as part of Kraft Heinz Co.’s expansion of its US executive team. Kraft Heinz’s US Zone President Carlos Abrams-Rivera will be the person to whom all three executives will report.

“Cory, Sanjiv, and Stephanie are a wonderful addition to the Kraft Heinz team, and I think they will significantly boost our company’s value by pushing our transformation agenda and spurring growth,” Mr. Abrams-Rivera stated. “We’re adding essential, best-in-class sales, marketing, and communications capabilities with their inclusion on our US leadership team, which will help us build a new Kraft Heinz driven by innovation, insights, and agility.”

With over 20 years of expertise leading the consumer packaged goods industry, Mr. Onell is a valuable addition to the team. Before that, he was senior vice president and director of J.M. Smucker Co.’s US Retail, Customer, and Commercial Teams. He was employed at Kraft Foods, Mondelez International, Kimberly-Clark Corp., and Campbell Soup Co. in the past.

Following his tenure as senior vice president of marketing at Mike’s Hard Lemonade, Mr. Gajiwala joins Kraft Heinz. As the company’s new leader, he will oversee the omnichannel strategy and innovation commercialization.

Leading all internal and external communications initiatives for the US Zone business, Ms. Peterson joined the company in May in a newly created position. She formerly worked at PepsiCo, Kind, and Kraft Heinz in senior communications roles Eats and IHOP eateries.
