Introducing a new chief people officer to Impossible Foods
Impossible Foods, a company that makes plant-based burgers, has hired Brian J. Miller as its chief people officer. Mr. Miller will be in charge of hiring, training, and staff retention. He answers directly to Impossible Foods President Dennis Woodside.
Mr. Miller worked for Gilead Sciences, a biotechnology company, in Foster City, California, for ten years before joining Impossible Foods. His most recent position as vice-president for talent, development, and inclusion was one of his many leadership positions. He was the worldwide head and director of learning and development at Amgen prior to that. He was the founder and CEO of E3-Services, a consultancy business that specialized in integrating HR departments with digital strategy.
Mr. Miller graduated with a master’s in education from Harvard University and a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Pacific.
Mr. Woodside stated, “Brian has a proven track record of assisting ambitious, mission-driven companies in rapidly scaling up while maintaining highly motivated employees.” “Brian has not only worked at some of the world’s leading biotech companies, but he has also worked hard as a founder and chief executive officer. We have faith in his endurance and drive to support Impossible Foods as we transition into “hypergrowth” mode.
