MILWAUKIE, OREGON. Whole grain rolled oats are the only component in Bob’s Red Mill’s new line of protein oats. According to Bob’s Red Mill, the protein oats are made from a unique conventionally bred strain that has up to 60% more protein than ordinary oats and are grown without the use of protein powder. Furthermore, the Non-GMO Project has certified them as gluten-free.

The firm claims that the protein oats may be used in a variety of recipes, such as baked goods, overnight oats, and a quick and easy 15-minute stovetop breakfast that is packed with protein.

Along with other oat products like steel cut, rolled, thick cut, Scottish style, and more, Bob’s Red Mill now offers protein oats.

Blake Isaac, director of innovation marketing at Bob’s Red Mill, said, “Bob’s Red Mill protein oats are a game changer for breakfast enthusiasts seeking a convenient and satisfying option to add more protein to their diets.” All of the health benefits of whole grain oats are concentrated in just one delicious ingredient: our supercharged Protein Oats.

There are two types of protein oats offered by Bob’s Red Mill: conventional and organic. The 32-oz bag of organic protein oats has a suggested retail price of $10.29, while the 16-oz bag of conventional protein oats has a suggested retail price of $5.39. Both variations will be offered by a few US merchants and on Amazon.com later this summer.
