Initial US production facility opened by Haribo
The first production facility for the gumm product maker Haribo was established in North America. The 500,000 square foot plant, which is centred on producing Haribo Goldbears, is situated in Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin.
Although it is Haribo’s first plant in the United States, it is also the company’s 16th worldwide location, enabling the daily manufacturing of over 160 million Goldbears candies. The company’s headquarters are now in Grafschaft, Germany, although it was first established in Bonn, Germany, in 1920.

According to Haribo, the plant’s opening is a part of the project’s first phase, which also includes the construction of an administrative building and a warehouse. According to Haribo, future stages will involve hiring more staff, expanding capacity, and introducing new technology.In March 2017, Haribo first declared its intention to construct in Wisconsin.
