Flagship Food keeps growing in the tortilla market.
One of the biggest tortilla manufacturers in the Midwest, Tortilla King, Inc., with headquarters in Moundridge, Kansas, has agreed to accept investments from Flagship Food Group, LLC. The transaction’s financial details were kept a secret.
Tortilla King was established in 1992 and produces goods under the La Comida, Mama Lupe’s, and Li’l Guy brands in addition to private label flour tortillas, corn tortillas, and tortilla chips.
As per the agreement, Juan Guardiola will continue to be a shareholder in Tortilla King and Flagship will take over as the company’s primary owner, keeping the current local management in place.
Mr. Guardiola, co-founder and president of Tortilla King, stated, “I’ve known the team at Flagship for many years, and we’ve been a supplier and partner of theirs across several of their product portfolios.” “It made sense for them, for me, and for our valued customers and employees to come together as one company.”
the majority Flagship, a diversified food company owned by CREO Capital Partners, offers a variety of food goods and services under the 505 Southwestern, La Tortilla Factory, Lilly B’s, Hatch Kitchen, TJ Farms, and other names. La Tortilla Factory was purchased by Flagship earlier in the year.
