EcoVessel enters the market for containers that can be reused.
Boulder, Colorado: With the goal of developing a full range of reusable drinkware and food storage containers and accessories that are “zero waste,” EcoVessel has purchased Sausalito, California-based U-Konserve.
Two friends worried about the trash plastic baggies, juice boxes, and packaged foods were generating for the environment founded U-Konserve in 2008. The two started their company by developing a lunch kit that produces no waste for elementary schools. Subsequently, the company expanded its product line to include insulated lunch bags, divided containers, stainless steel containers, straws that could be reused, insulated containers with lids and a variety of other accessories.
Following the merger, the businesses will pool their supply chains, storage, marketing, and distribution networks with Boulder, Colorado-based EcoVessel, a manufacturer of a variety of reusable drinking containers. As the CEO of the combined company, John Fox, the founder and CEO of EcoVessel, will seek to grow its retail partnerships and maintain a continuous flow of new product development.
In the coming months, more products will be released, such as insulated travel mugs, reusable utensil sets, and telescopic stainless-steel straws. A new range of plastic-free stainless-steel food containers with completely clear silicone tops has been introduced by U-Konserve.
