Del Monte introduces innovation for a “fast and mobile world” in this slide deck.

Over the past year, Del Monte Foods, Inc. has expanded its product line beyond the canned food aisle to include snack, frozen, and refrigerated aisles in grocery stores, all of which have been driven by convenience.
Fruit & Oats snack cups were introduced by Del Monte Foods in November of last year. They consist of ready-to-eat oatmeal paired with a choice of hot or cold fruit. The apple cinnamon, peach cinnamon, and pear maple flavors of the cups made their premiere. In February 2019, strawberry and blueberry apple types were added to the roster.

According to Bibie Wu, chief marketing officer of Del Monte Foods, “Fruit & Oats is the latest example of Del Monte innovating to stay in tune with its evolving needs of its consumers, creating on-the-go snacks and meals that are convenient and nutritious, without sacrificing quality or flavor.” “In the upcoming year, consumers can anticipate even more innovation from the brand as it continues to expand its offerings beyond the canned goods aisle.”

Del Monte fulfilled its pledge to diversify in August when it introduced Bubble Fruit, a line of snack cups that combines the traditional fruit cup with boba. Bubble Fruit is available in three flavors: sour apple watermelon, pear berry pomegranate, and peach strawberry lemonade. The handy, healthful snacks have a complete serving of fruit.

Vice-president of brand marketing at Del Monte Foods Liam Farrell stated, “We have made it our priority to drive our innovation to meet the needs of today’s consumers who are looking for new exciting food experiences, flavors, and textures.” “Bubble Fruit is a smart reinvention of a classic product that kids will want to eat and parents will feel good about serving, leveraging on-trend inspiration like the boba phenomenon.”

In October, Del Monte introduced a new brand of non-dairy parfaits called Fruit Crunch Parfaits, further expanding its snacking offerings. Produced with coconut crème, which gives it the “yogurt flavor, texture, and richness,” according to Del Monte. The parfaits come in mango, strawberry, blueberry, and pineapple coconut flavors, and they are topped with a honey oat granola.

“We saw Fruit Crunch Parfait as a reimagined classic that is perfect for the health-conscious consumer looking to strike a balance between deliciousness, nutrient-denseness, and ease of use,” Mr. Farrell stated. We’re excited to increase our visibility in the refrigerator section with a product that is guilt-free and incredibly crave-worthy, despite not being dairy-based. At Del Monte, we keep a close eye on market developments and are confident that Fruit Crunch Parfait meets customer expectations.

With the introduction of Contadina Pizzettas, a new line of healthier frozen pizza bits, later in October, Del Monte expanded the reach of its Contadina brand outside the canned tomato aisle for the first time. The Pizzettas come with five pieces and a generous portion of veggies each dish. They are made with a combination of cheese and Roma tomato sauce, which is baked in a shell made of cauliflower. There are three types of pizza nibbles available: garden veggie, margherita, and four cheese.

According to Mr. Farrell, “Contadina has always provided the freshest ingredients to prepare the most satisfying Italian dishes.” “There’s no better way to commemorate Contadina’s centennial than by introducing Pizzettas, a healthier and more convenient snack option for today’s hectic lifestyle. Following months of observing the newest culinary trends, a deeper comprehension of ourWe’re thrilled to provide this actual, authentic Italian-flavored substitute for the classic pizza bite in the frozen section of your neighborhood supermarket, catering to consumer demands and the competitive landscape.

Del Monte Foods unveiled Veggieful Bites in October as well. These bite-sized treats have a cheese and vegetable mixture baked in a whole wheat and cauliflower shell. The snacks come in three varieties: veggie and mozzarella, spinach and feta, and broccoli and cheddar. Each five-bite portion of the snacks contains one serving of veggies.

“We’re thrilled to expand the frozen snack market with Veggieful Bites and resurrect the idea that delicious food and good nutrition can coexist in the frozen section,” Mr. Farrell stated. “Del Monte’s top priority when creating new products is to always consider the evolving needs of its customers. We see Veggieful Bites as a tasty and healthy alternative that may be everyone’s first choice for a party snack, holiday appetizer, and more in a quick and mobile world.

With the release of the new College Inn brand Simple Starter in November, Del Monte offered a fresh take on the one-pot meal trend. The three varieties of the seasoned meal starters—savory chicken, robust beef, and Mexican style—are prepared with College Inn stock, herbs, and seasonings.

Mr. Farrell declared, “College Inn is excited to unveil our new Simple Starter.” “With the popularity of one-pot meals continuing to rise, we see Simple Starter evolving into a novel response to the demands of time-pressed customers for easy-to-prepare weekday meals. Simple Starter is not only incredibly simple to use, but it also produces filling, flavorful meals that are so great that your family and friends will think you spent all day in the kitchen.

New Veggieful Bowls from Del Monte are now available; they combine a variety of veggies with nutritious grains and a flavorful sauce. The four kinds of the ready-to-eat 7.4-oz bowls—southwest style corn, roasted red pepper, garlic and herb, and Asian style soy sesame—each offer a complete serving of veggies.
