NEW YORK Yai’s Thai, a Thai American cuisine company, is being acquired by content-driven consumer brand DayDayCook. The business stated that a combination of cash and equity will be used to finance the transaction. The transaction is anticipated to be finalized before the end of the year, subject to usual closing conditions, according to the business.
Thai grocery staples including stir-fry sauces and curries are made by Yai’s Thai. Based on their family’s Thai ancestry, Leland and Sarah Copenhagen launched the business in 2014. Products from the firm are available at Kroger, Safeway, Sprouts, Whole Foods Market, and Costco.
Norma Chu, the founder and CEO of DayDayCook, stated, “Yai’s Thai is an important addition to the DayDayCook family, as it expands our presence into key food retailers and helps increase awareness among US consumers of what DDC has to offer to the market.” As we expand the market share of our Asian easy meal solutions, this is our second purchase in the US. Yai’s Thai and DDC have a lot in common when it comes to our basic values: we both love promoting Asian cooking tradition and are committed to using natural ingredients and producing high-quality products. Leland and Sarah, the company’s founders, have created a fantastic foundation that has the ability to reach more US customers with fresh product improvements. I am so excited to collaborate with Yai’s. Thai team to equip millions of home kitchens with cutting-edge culinary experiences.
