B&G Foods pledges, via scholarship, to uphold inclusion and diversity.

NJ — PARSIPPANY The B&G Foods Scholarship at The Culinary Institute of America (CIA) was established by B&G Foods, Inc. to assist people from a variety of backgrounds who aspire to become chefs. A total of $1 million in scholarships will be given out over the next eight years by the B&G Foods Scholarship, which will give five $10,000 grants to CIA students who qualify each year. Recipients of the scholarship who maintain high academic status will be given the award every year until they graduate.

According to B&G Foods, the scholarship is just one more instance of their support for the CIA. B&G Foods stated that it has pledged to provide CIA schools with continuous in-kind gifts of goods and ingredients in addition to the scholarships. Also, the business will invite kids to maintain a relationship with B&G Foods through internships, career opportunities, and mentoring.

“B&G Foods believes that a diverse blend of people and perspectives makes the culinary arts infinitely more powerful. Food is a universal language,” stated Jordan Greenberg, executive vice president and chief commercial officer of B&G Foods. “Regardless of whether students pursue careers in the culinary arts or not, B&G Foods believes that these yearly awards will encourage increased diversity, equity, and inclusion in the food industry.”

Kevin Allan, the CIA’s vice president of promotion, continued, saying, “This scholarship programme will help even more students realise their dreams of attending the best culinary college in the world.” We appreciate B&G Foods’ continued support of our goals and the education of our kids.

Established in 1946, the CIA provides major-focused master’s, bachelor’s, and associate’s degrees in food management for businesses, culinary science, applied food research, baking and pastry arts, and culinary arts. Aside from classes for professionals and enthusiasts, the college also provides diploma programmes and executive education.
