Bacardi was established over 161 years ago with the goal of creating the first premium mixable rums with a light body in history. Rums had a lot of flavor back in the day of their founder, Don Facundo, but they were very unrefined and crude, not really suitable for everyone to enjoy.

With new products on the horizon for Bacardi, including its Caribbean Spiced rum that is now available in the UK and select markets in Europe, the spirt sector could be looking to the company to see what types of alcoholic beverages consumers want in today’s world.

Drinking it from a can with friends or sipping it on the rocks in a bar, Bacardi has come a long way from its “humble beginnings” to become a well-known alcohol brand worldwide.
